The Brooklyn Nets earned their seventh consecutive win on Wednesday, defeating the Golden State Warriors 143-113. The victory was due to the team’s impressive performance in the first half, in which they scored a franchise-record 91 points. Edmond Sumner had 16 points, Royce O’Neale had 14 on 5-of-7 shooting and Seth Curry and T.J. Warren each had 12. Kyrie Irving was a late scratch due to right calf tightness.
Coach Jacque Vaughn praised the team’s approach and maturity in playing the game. He commented, “Our approach was pretty good, especially the first quarter after the last two games, and 42 assists. Ben Simons commented on the team’s success in NBA, saying “That’s what basketball is to me, guys sharing the ball. Us getting the best shot we can every time down and then trusting each other.”
