Tragically, Sonya Eddy, a beloved actress known for her stint on “General Hospital,” has passed away at the age of 55.
Her producing partner and close friend, Tyler Ford, revealed that she had a scheduled operation on December 9, but developed a severe infection afterward which could not be contained.
Octavia Spencer, another close friend, confirmed the news on social media, saying the world had lost a creative angel.
Sonya had been in the industry since 1995, appearing in shows such as “The Drew Carey Show,” “Seinfeld,” “Patch Adams,” “Reba,” “Monk,” “Joan of Arcadia,” “CSI,” “Glee,” “Castle,” and “Fresh Off The Boat.”
